A growing trend in this country is the employment of cellphones by children under eighteen. In fact fifty percent of children in the U.S. Today have their own cell phones. Whether they are elementary school children, rich 16-year-olds, or merely getting by money-wise, a large number of children make use of cellphones.

This number is amazing and to no surprise is rising. As it is, we spend inadequate time actually involved in what our children do.

Who they speak with, who they SMS message and who they send digital pictures to becomes a poser when they are permitted to have their own mobile phones.

Of course, every youngster is different and some are very responsible when it comes to the utilisation of their phones. But to keep our kids safe we must recollect to be accountable and teach our children to be responsible for their actions.

Many a teenager has run their mom and pop cell telephone bill up so high that they have had to confiscate the phone. But the key is to stop the issue before it occurs. The key is to set boundaries, and to remain involved.

Know with whom your children are chatting to. Set firm rules about the times they are able to use their phones. Know whom they are sending photographs to and what sortof footage they are sending.

The same with texts. One other thing we should think about is whether we’d like our children using their phones while operating a vehicle. 6000 youngsters die annually in auto accidents and with forty eight percent of youths allegedly chatting on the phone while driving, the mixture can be dangerous. The key to keeping our children safe is to be informed.
