The question of how much it costs you to call Iridium Satellite Phone in or outside Australia depends on a number of issues.

How Much Does It Cost Me To Call An Iridium Satellite Phone

It all depends on which phone system or service or landline carrier that you’re phoning from|All this depends on which telephone program or assistance or landline provider you are contacting from|All of it depends on which telephone program or support or landline company you’re phoning from|It all depends upon which cell phone system or services or landline provider you’re contacting from|It all depends on which mobile phone program or services or land line company that you are contacting from|All of it depends on which telephone system or support or land line carrier you’re contacting from}. Because presently there are countless different airtime plans from all different service providers within Australia. Now Telstra will have their own program Vodafone virgin and Optus to name a few.

It will not only be based upon the provider it will likewise then be based upon your own personal contract which you have set up with that provider. Each land-based company rates different charges depending on the contract deal you have whether domestic or even commercial basis.

So if you are responsible for the cost of phoning Iridium 9555 in or outside Australia, my recommendation is phone in your landline carrier and ask them having giving them your reference number , ask them how much it will cost you to call that Iridium Satellite Phone from your landline or mobile telephone per minute.

In our experience this is varied from everything through three dollars per minute to $20 per minute with regards to the land-based service provider to the satellite network you’re contacting.

If however you are in a situation which you have access to another Iridium satellite cellphone, certainly the most cost effective way to call Iridium mobile phone is by way of another Iridium satellite mobile phone. Because this uses the Iridium satellite network direct and will not be mentioned being an international call via a land-based service provider.

So from contacting one Iridium to another is undoubtedly the most inexpensive. If you’re a company you are able to access an Iridium satellite network by way of a phone plus a land cradle which suits within your PABX switchboard, enabling you to get your phone in your desk and press one of the external control keys which usually place you through instantly into the Iridium satellite network and it is like creating a local call that may varying in value through $.80 per 30 seconds to a $1. 50 for every 30 seconds in our experience depending on the policy you have opted for.

In acknowledgment with this difficulty, satellitephonesales.com.au has created the ability for someone to SMS your satellite phone via their website at www.satellitephonesales.com.au.

In the main menu bar there is an SMS tab. You may send any individual whether it’s family friend or even business to that web site thru their laptop or even desktop PC, to which they are able to press on the SMS menu tab touch on the Iridium menu tab place your Iridium satellite cell phone number on the box then send to you an SMS from their computer’s desktop or laptop computer at no cost to each them and you.

This is a fabulous way for you to get communication at a minimum cost, as quite often in our experience we have found phoning from an Iridium Satellite Phone to a landline anywhere on the globe or cellular mobile is much cheaper than a landline phoning a satellite phone.

The Safety Of Miners: Using An Iridium 9555 With A Pre Paid sim card

Can I Buy An Iridium Phone With A Prepaid Sim Card In Australia

Miners in Australia are working in dangerous situations. Due to them in remote areas miners also require a method of communication from themselves to the outside world. Mobile phones hardly act as it is in the Outback and even. This is where an Iridium pre paid satellite phone would come into play. Because of the satellite phones make use of satellites in the sky for reception, you don’t need to worry about being around any cellular phone towers.

Miners can rely on their satellite phones for reception no matter where they are around the mine site. This ensures the flexibility for constant communication and in addition it helps miners feel safer because they realize that if there is unexpected emergency they have their satellite phone to call for help.

One of the best troubles that people have when registering for a Iridium pre paid sim card for their satellite phone is trying to make the decision which term will suit them best. You can find the conventional satellite service plans available but then there are also the pre paid satellite phone plans known as pre paid sim cards which are quite popular.

Almost all of the fees are exactly the same between both types of contracts but there are many major differences. For one thing which includes a pre paid satellite phone plan you’re able to decide how much time you would want to have put on the phone and then once you run out that’s it. As a result you’re not running the risk of being surprised with a huge phone bill at the end of the month. It’s simple to get carried away and lose track of charges and fees by using a mobile phone don’t worry a satellite phone. Even with a pre paid satellite phone there are charges when you make a phone call or send an SMS message.

By using a pre paid plan there is a chance to decide in advance how much money you would like to spend on the phone for the month and you just have to expend that time wisely. This may be a much easier option for many people. Lots of mining businesses stick to the pre paid plans because then the workers have a load off without having to worry about whether they’ve gone over their limit for the month or not.

Iridium offers some fantastic pre paid satellite phone options. They are quite competitive and for a satellite call to somewhere in Australia you may simply be charged around $3.00 minute. Whether local or International. The pre paid plans charge . 50 cents just for national SMS, 50 cents for worldwide SMS,.

Compared to other satellite providers out there, the Iridium 9555 With A Pre Paid satellite phone plans definitely have their advantages.

However like many electronic products Sat Phone includes a one year manufacturers warranty. The 9555 does claims itself as water-proof but certainly not water-proof.

I would not like the situation where it fell into water and was submerged. Iridium while makes use of rubber buttons and also rubber grommets and rubber surrounds handling it excellent durability, this doesn’t state for being water-proof, in other words if it were submerged in water would it come out unscathed.

The specific choice for me is basically no, In my opinion the water would access through in to the mother board and make the unit useless.

To this end now we have found that the Pelican case particularly for this Iridium 9555 satellite phone, this 1200 Pelican case has been an excellent answer. Not simply given that it protects the phone as well as its accessories however because it is waterproof, shockproof and dirt proof as well.

Within our practical experience, some of the end user of the satellite phone is not the person or company that purchased it. In that regard sometimes you can find that they don’t take proper care of it as well as you wish to so. During the last five years we’ve got discovered approximately 90 percent of our own clients need a custom moulded Pelican case to go along with their phone not only to protect their own investment now but in addition to secure the accessories.

So from as few as hundred and $129 Pelican cases can not only protect your investment in the satellite phone by itself and stop it from say, rolling on the ground was being placed on the passenger seat of any vehicle while all of a sudden they need to break, and also its value is in the non-replacement of accessories.

It’s very general for us for getting calls every day to switch magnetic antennas or leads, or cigarette lighter chargers, as they happen to be missing or misplaced instead of being contained with one in an area together with the phone.

So the price of just one single cigarette lighter lead nearly covers the cost of the Pelican case however with all of the benefits are protecting your investment.

So overall, although the Iridium 9555 Satellite Phone is not waterproof by itself, its water resistant and dirt resistant we all suggest the 1200 Pelican case for any of the purchases or rentals we use.

Lots of individuals are not satisfied with their cell phone plans. Their alternative of choice: unlock their cell phones.

Does your cellular service provider offer the services you desire at the price you would like? Almost definitely, not.

Most phones, however, are tied to a specific cellular provider, and so are you. Think of it as purchasing a Ford vehicle which can only receive the gas hose nozzle from a Shell gas station. It’s really beyond belief, with our competition laws, that cellular phones are still sold like that.

Your cell phone is really a small, dedicated computer with memory, programming, a visual display unit, and input keyboard or keypad, a speaker and sometimes a camera. These tiny computers can any many different programs (cell phone apps) and perform many different functions like making and receiving calls, texting, taking pictures and so on.

The programming in the cell phone normally ties it to a single cellular service provider. A SIM card slips in to a slot and identifies a particular cellular service provider or network. The subscriber identity module (or SIM card) is a removable card that contains a little memory module that identifies you and a network. This enables the network to track your usage statistics so that you receive accurate bills each month.

What ties your cell phone to a network is the programming on the cell phone. It looks for a code on the SIM card that identifies a particular network. Programs that lock a cell phone to a particular network won’t permit calls to be made with a SIM card from a different network. Cell phones customarily come programmed to tell you that they do not recognize SIM cards that belong to other cellular service providers.

So, how can you get a cell phone to connect to the cellular service provider of your choice?

You actually have two options. You can reprogram your cell phone to ignore the network code on the SIM card–this unlocks your phone. Or, you may purchase an already unlocked cell phone.

Getting your current cell phone to function with an alternative network stands out as the choice for most people. So, they need to understand how to unlock their cell phone. Most cellular phones will be unlocked fairly easily.

To unlock a cell phone you’ll have to adjust the program saved in the cell phone so it will not check for a particular cellular network. This isn’t as difficult as it appears.

You can reprogram your cell phone by pressing the right sequence of keys on your cell phone’s keypad or keyboard. Since the programs differ for each manufacturer, the progression of key presses also is different. Even models that are alike have somewhat different programs.

The only way you can unlock your specific cell phone is to work with the precise sequence of key presses that work with that make and model cell phone. The wrong sequence could modify a different part of the cellular phone’s program and cause the cell phone to stop working altogether.

Various groups have perfected they key press sequences and sell the precise sequence online. This way, you may be guaranteed that your phone will work as it should and be able to connect to any cellular service provider you pick.

If you are looking for additional information about this topic, check out our unlock cell phone page. You’ll be glad you did.

1.	Is there a contract to sign? Find out if you have to sign a long term contract, and if so, get a complete list of the services that you get for signing the contract. If you aren’t getting a special rate for how many minutes you’re going to use, then there isn’t any reason to sign a contract. Conferencing companies are now offering toll free conference calling for 2.5 per minute without contracts or minimums, for conferences with 100 users or less, so unless you’re having conferences of more than 100 people, a contract isn’t usually worth it.

2.	What are you offering, and what are the fees? Get a full list of the features that the conferencing account offers. When you get the list of services that come with your account, make sure that the list has prices too. With the full product, service and feature price list, you will have a better idea of the true price of the conference calling services that you are comparing.

3.	Are there hidden fees? Make sure you ask. Some conferencing companies have a monthly minimum usage requirement, or have a monthly fee, even if the account wasn’t accessed during the month in question. See if they’ll give you a sample bill to look at, and ask about any fees that you see on that bill. Make sure you check everything on the bill, and that you aren’t paying extra fees that you should be paying.

4.	How many people can you have on a call and still have good sound? Get a copy of their quality guarantee in writing, along with the maximum number of people that you can have in a conference before the call quality suffers.

5.	Do you offer a free trial? Most conference calling providers that offer conferencing let you have a free trial account, because they figure once you try, you’ll buy. Most of these providers will give you a free starter account, so you can test their features and services on a live call. Try out some conference call providers, then keep your account open at the one that wins.

Mobile phone upgrades are easy to do – if you know where and how to do it. See more here: Click on this link

A “mobile phone upgrade” is where an existing user of a network (eg T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange, O2, 3G, Virgin etc), who has been with that network for about 1 yr since getting their last mobile phone, gets a new mobile phone from the network at a free, or cheap discount price, in return for agreeing to stick with that network for one more year, under a 12 month contract agreement. The user keeps his or her present mobile phone number, and stays with the same network. This is called a “mobile phone upgrade” – often it’s a free mobile phone upgrade!

To get the very best offer for a free or cheap mobile phone upgrade, you have to understand this. The mobile phone networks pay a mobile phone dealer more for a new user (new mobile phone contract) than they do for a mobile phone upgrade customer. This odd scenario has been the same for many years. The only network that seems to pay mobile phone dealers almost as much for an upgrade user as for a new free mobile phone user is Three (also referred to as three or 3G). The other mobile phone networks simply don’t seem to value their existing clients as much!

For further reading from the same author click here: Is this for you?

The craziness of this example is that it encourages you to be disloyal to your current network.

What does this mean to you? How will you get the best deal from knowing all this, so you can get a free mobile phone upgrade AND get other benefits? Read on …

The amount that a mobile phone seller can give to you will rely on how much cash he is making. If he is making more cash from a ‘new’ mobile phone contract customer than for an upgrade user, then he will be able to give the ‘new’ mobile phone contract user a bigger discount or a free mobile phone or perhaps more!

Now, did you know that instead of upgrading your cellphone on the same network (where you probably won’t get such a good deal or a free mobile phone etc), you can switch to a NEW and completely different network AND maintain your existing mobile phone number? This is true.

Now, realizing that you can maintain your mobile phone number, and that you can normally get a greater deal as a ‘new’ user on another network, what are you going to do?

You’ll be able to simply become a ‘new’ user on a different network … this new network then treats you as a new user, offers you all the free mobile phone bonuses and gifts, etc., AND you keep your mobile phone number!

So by simply looking around at all the offers available to you on all the other networks

Before you take the jump and switch to a different network for your free mobile phone upgrade, take into consideration this …

Imagine you call your current network to tell them that you’re considering leaving them to switch to another mobile network. Typically, that individual you speak to will be on a commission to maintain your business: ie they’ll earn a bit of money if they can persuade you to stick with that mobile phone network. This means that you should use this to your advantage.

Tell them that you have had an excellent offer from another network (and don’t lie – they’ll more than likely know exactly what you could get with another network). Simply ask them if they can equal or better the deal offered by this other network.

If they can equal it, then it is most likely not worth the trouble of switching mobile phone networks and the paperwork. It is not an excessive amount of trouble to do the switch, however, obviously it is simpler to stick with your current mobile phone network.

Free mobile phone upgrades could be got in this manner quite easily by understanding how the system works and the way the money works in cellphones and free mobile phone upgrades.

So the next time, simply ask your current mobile phone network if they are going to better the free mobile phone offer from another network.

Almost everybody has a cell phone these days, however progressively more people are purchasing landline contracts due to their cell phone not working within their home. There might be several reasons for cell phone failure within the home, one cause being that the actual cell phone towers in the area are managed by a different business. This could trigger a bit of frustration due to the fact that a person undoubtedly will pay a substantial quantity of cash for their cell phone, yet to end up being compelled to add a traditional phone to the costs is one expenditure too numerous.

There are several other issues that can trigger cell phone issues from the materials the house is constructed of or perhaps a deficit of cell phone towers in the area. If you’re ready to increase your phone coverage, then it is time for you to look into a home cell phone boosters. This is exactly what it sounds like, and as luck would have it these types of cellphone amplifiers are easy for practically anybody to make use of.

There are lots of different types of cellphone amplifiers, many of which could be used on the go, but most people like to make use of these boosters at home. A home cell phone booster will permit you to make ones calls without having to stand in the corn field across the street, which is simply magic for numerous people these days. As luck would have it, there are much more than a couple of cell phone boosters available, many costing as small as $ 10.

If you are going to purchase one of these gadgets, it would be a good idea to ensure you purchase one of higher high quality. We are surviving in a tough economic climate, but you are able to look at that as a good reason to purchase a higher high quality home cell phone booster instead of a less expensive untrustworthy model. In the event you can purchase a decent amplifier you will not have to pay for your land line anymore, and which will result in you having much more cash in the long run.

Make sure you choose a transmission type that will fit your smart cell phones. These boosters are accessible both in analog and digital, and they could be acquired both in 800mhz as well as 900mhz. These models are functional and definitely will enable you to make all of the telephone calls you want from the actual area of your option. This will make the cell phone booster 1 of the very most crucial purchases you are able to make as far as your telecommunications are concerned. Begin searching for a decent booster today either online or in shops. It may take time to discover the right one, but this is one purchase that you will by no means regret.

Recently my husband became somewhat carried away on the web and ordered the newest Apple company iphone for our older daughter. Why he wasted that sort of money on a new iphone I do not know, he just went online to check out the prices on a brand-new memory foam mattress.

I had been a little irritated with him really, since our little girl may have dropped and busted her last a couple of phones within months of getting them, therefore it felt a daft notion. My better half did not even acquire any iPhone insurance with it, so he got a quick talking too and I directed him back to his home pc to look at the least expensive iPhone 4 insurance policy that shielded you from careless little ones.

Business owners can save quite a bit of money if they are willing to check their monthly internet and telephone bills, and do a little online comparison shopping. Some businesses overspend on telephone service when they don’t need to, and if their phone and internet service are paid automatically via debit, credit card or automatic check withdrawal, they may never even look at their bills. There’s a reason that telephone and internet companies want you to pay via automatic debit, credit or ACH, and that is because as long as you don’t see the bill, you don’t know what you’re spending. And that’s one of those, out of sight, out of mind, situations that can get a business in to trouble.

The first bill that you should look at is your local telephone service provider’s bill. How many lines do you have coming into the office, and do you need them all? Once you’ve counted your local lines, look at the telephone bill and check which features each line has, and then decide if they are are worth what you’re paying for them. Business telephone lines, with local telephone service only, can cost up to $55 each month with some telecom carriers, and if you’ve got lots of local business lines, they can really cost you a lot of money.

Once you’ve figured out the local phone service bill, look at your long distance bill and see if your long distance carrier is offering you a good deal on long distance service, or whether they are an expensive long distance carrier . Also, check the long distance bill to see if there are any calls outside the US or Canada. Different long distance providers charge different fees for domestic and international calls, so a $1.95 per minute call to Afghanistan with PacBell may only cost $0.42 a minute with a low cost company like TCI or Opex.

Now that you can see what you are paying for the local landlines and for the long distance calls, look at the rest of the taxes and fees on the bill. In most areas of the US, the taxes and fees on landline phone service are %25 to %30 of the total bill. So, if your telephone bill was $100 for 2 or 3 local business lines, and $50 for domestic and international long distance calls, there might be an additional $40 to $50 in taxes and fees, for a total bill of around $200. Now let’s check out some broadband phone service providers and see about lowering your business’s telecom costs.

Voice Over IP phone service needs high speed internet service, so there is going to be the added charge of having high speed internet service coming into your office. If you don’t, high speed internet service in the 8 to 16MB range can be had for between $30 and $90 per month, with the average being somewhere around $60 per month.. That much bandwidth can run a lot of phones and a lot of computer apps, especially when you consider a T1 line has 23 channels, and that’s only 1.5MB of bandwidth. In my office, I run 2 internet phones and 3 computers, plus pipe in Pandora for office music, all with an 8MB plan from Charter. (It’s in my house, so I only pay $29.95 per month.)

Voice Over IP telephone plans themselves are cheap, costing between $19.99 and $79.99 a month, depending on which carrier you sign up with. Two of the broadband phone companies offering cheap VoIP calling plans are Lingo and Phonepower. Lingo offers unlimited calling to the United States, Canada, and 45 other countries for $21.95 per month, while Phonepower offers unlimited calling on 2 lines in the United States and Canada for $19.95 per month. Both VoIP calling plans come with lots of free features like conference calling, call waiting and others, that would cost you extra from a landline telephone company. And one of the best things is that the taxes a fees are only about $3.00 per line each month.

If you check the price differences between landline telephone service and VoIP telephone service, VoIP telephone service wins in most cases. You can get 3-4 VoIP telephone lines from Phonepower for around $45 per month, including tax. Add to that the $60 for high speed internet service, and the whole bill comes to around $105 instead of the $200 that landline service would cost you. And, if you figure in the fact that most businesses already have high speed internet service, the savings increase to around $155, instead of $95, per month. Any way that you look at it, VoIP telephone service in this case is going to save you $1100 to $1900 per year over what you would pay for 2 or 3 landlines plus long distance service, plus taxes and fees.

For more information on saving your business money, visit calling-plans.com and use their land-line, VoIP telephone service, and cell telephone rate calculators to compare cheap home phone service. I know that my small business can’t afford to give away $1500 or more per year to the telephone companies; Can Yours?
